Rolls Royce plc v Unite the Union - "Last in - First out" and age discrimination law in relation to selection for redundancy [2008] EWHC 2420 on 9.10.08

This case might normally have been expected to be within the exclusive jusridiction of an employment tribunal. However, as there were no issues of fact, the High Court agreed at the parties request, albeit "with considerable misgivings", to consider the case under Part 8 of the CPR.
