Deman v The Commission for Equality and Human Rights & Ors - judge has power to dispense with assessors in designated County Court

In race discrimination proceedings in a "designated County Court", a judge is not obliged to sit with assessors if (i) the parties consent or (ii) the judge is satisfied that they cannot contribute to the process.
