Reaney v Hereford Diocesan Board of Finance - Sexual Orientation and the genuine occupational requirement exemption

Mr Reaney is homosexual. He has won a claim that the CofE Diocese of Hereford was in breach of the Employment Equality (Sexual Orientation) Regulations 2003 by not offering him a post as Diocesan Youth Officer. It was argued successfully for Mr Reaney that the "genuine occupational requirement" exception for organised religion did not apply on the facts of the case.
