Where a doctor claims that disciplinary proceedings have been brought against him/her unfairly the remedy should generally lie in private proceedings and not by way of Judicial Review.
This High Court (QBD, Administrative Court) case considered two cases brought by doctors against the Trusts in which they worked: R (Dr Loizou) v Mid-Yorks. Hospitals NHS Trust and R (Mr Puri) v Bradford Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
