The test of entitlement for disability living allowance is different
from that for employment and support allowance.

While alcohol dependence is a recognised illness, a person who chooses to become intoxicated cannot have the transient and immediate effects of consuming alcohol count as reasons to enhance a claim for Employment and Support Allowance.
