Levenes Solicitors v Dalley - tribunal must not decide reasonableness in individual cases simply by comparison with other cases - Court of Appeal 24.1.08

Ms Dalley did not attend her appeal, but the Court refused any adjournment. Although her non-attendance therefore could have resulted simply in a dismissal of her appeal, the Court considered the matter, since in the words of Sedley LJ (with whom the other two Lords Justices agreed) "the case is not without its intrinsic interest, and ...it may be relevant to state in very brief terms what at least is my provisional view of the appeal."
