Daniels v BBC - defamation claim by employee
critical comments regarding an employee's poor performance during the course of an internal meeting were not defamatory.
Dr Daniels was employed by the BBC on a five month fixed-term contract doing an admin job at a junior grade (he was part of a team entering programme details into various databases). His manager was not happy with the quality of his work. This led to a meeting in January 2010 attended by Dr Daniels, the manager and two members of the BBC's HR department.
