Owens v Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council - eligibility for membership of Teachers' Pensions Scheme

 A teacher working as a counsellor in a school, though not delivering national curriculum lessons, can still count as a teacher for the purposes of the Superannuation Act 1972, s. 9 and the Teachers Pensions Regulations 1997, SI 1997/3001 as they apply in respect of membership of Teachers' Pensions Schemes.
