A v Secretary of State, Home Office - for a statement to be "false" for the purposes of the Immigration Rules, it must be dishonest.

(i) where a statement in the Immigration Rules is ambiguous, it is permissible to have regard to the Executive's public statements about how the rules should be interpreted.
(ii) for a statement to amount to a false statement for the purposes of the Immigration Rules, it must be dishonest.
