Smith v Chelsea Football Club Plc - claim in High Court was estopped by tribunal decision on same matters, and abuse of process

The High Court was not prepared to entertain an "artificial and impermissible" analysis of an employment tribunal's judgment so as to get round the fact that it had already decided the matters which were now being brought before the High Court. The new claim was barred by "issue estoppel" and was an abuse of process.
