Davidson v Dallas McMillan - journalist could seek revocation of RRO, but not after proceedings ended
An employment tribunal has broad discretion, while proceedings are ongoing, to hear an application for revocation of a Restricted Reporting Order from "someone with an interest in the outcome of the proceedings" (in this case a journalist) as well as from someone "having a legitimate interest in whether or not the RRO is made". However, subject to any specific provision being made, once proceedings are brought to an end by withdrawal there is no power to revoke the RRO. It therefore carries on indefinitely.
