Devonport High head loses High Court job challenge
As reported in the emplaw web-updater of 20.8.08, Diane Hill, former headteacher of Devonport High School for Girls, lodged claims of
unfair dismissal at an employment tribunal, seeking reinstatement. She was suspended by the chairman of governors, Michael Thomas, in
November 2007, and eventually, after 6 months of investigation and a
2 week hearing, she was dismissed for 'unacceptable behaviour' and a 'breakdown
of relations' with staff and governors.
