Sorge v Poste Italiane SpA - CJEC agrees with AG: national law changes do not breach Fixed-Term Working Directive if protection remains the same
The Fixed-term Working Directive (1999/70/EC) (1) does not preclude detailed changes to national laws provided protection is not reduced (namely the changes are offset by the adoption of other safeguards or protective measures, or concern only a limited category of workers); and (2) is not of "direct effect".
