Sabin v BRB (Residuary) Ltd - asbestos/mesothelioma

This case was concerned with whether Mr Sabin had died as a result of exposure to asbestos (while he was working as a lorry driver for British Rail) as his widow claimed or whether he had died as a result of interstitial pneumonia (UIP) as British Rail claimed.

In the event the High Court, after careful consideration of expert evidence, held in favour of the widow . She was awarded damages in the agreed sum of £100,000.
