USA - Christian Legal Society Chapter of University of California, Hastings College of Law v. Martinez

A US Law School's non discrimination policy led it to withdraw recognition from a student group called the Christian Legal Society Chapter because the latter discriminates against homosexuals. The Law School refused to recognize CLS as an official student group and stripped it of the benefits of recognition, including student activity fee funding.

The obvious "human rights" tensions in the case are not unique to the USA. It may be that some readers will be interested to follow the case, which is due for hearing in the US Supreme Court in April 2010.
