Bamber, R (on the application of) v HM Revenue & Customs - High Court (Administrative) 4.4.07

In November 2004 the UK tax authorities resiled from an indication they had given the previous June to the effect that they agreed certain increased specified flat rate expense allowances for pilots and cabin crew employed by MyTravel. Mr Bamber claimed that in reliance on the indication given he had incurred expenses which he otherwise would not have incurred. His attempt to recover this money has failed.
