Mrs Trigg had resigned from her employment and won a claim for constructive unfair dismissal. When assessing compensation the tribunal took account of losses flowing from the employer's bullying which had made Mrs Triggs ill and which eventually led to her resignation. GAB lost an appeal to the EAT both against the finding of constructive unfair dismissal and the assessment of compensation. GAB then accepted the unfair dismissal finding but appealed to the Court of Appeal on the issue of compensation.
