(1) Absolute immunity applies to tribunals recognised by law (as against domestic bodies deriving their powers simply from agreement or consent); this is not just the long-established courts, but also many statutory tribunals, such as the Fitness to Practice Panel of the GMC;

(2) a document obtained in the course of one set of legal proceedings cannot usually be used for any purpose other than those particular proceedings.
