National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers (RMT) v The United Kingdom
The RMT made this application to the European Court of Human Rights in June 2010. Essentially, its complaint is that:
"under Article 11 of the Convention...its right to protect the interests of its members is violated by reason of the abridgements of the right to strike in the law of the United Kingdom, with specific reference to the ballot notice requirements and the ban on secondary action..."
