The Belgian "Centre for equal opportunities and combating racism" applied for a finding that garage door company Firma Feryn NV was applying a racially discriminatory recruitment policy. This was based on the fact that one of its Directors had publicly stated that "his company did not wish to recruit 'immigrants'".The Belgian court dismissed the application, holding that "there was no proof nor was there a presumption that a person had applied for a job and had not been employed as a result of his ethnic origin".
