This case follows on from International Transport Workers' Federation & Anor v Viking Line ABP C-438/05 [1]. Latvian workers were posted to work at Swedish electricity plants. Swedish trade unions blockaded the works to force the Latvian company to sign a collective agreement, which would have given terms and conditions more favourable than in Swedish law.
