Supreme Court tasked with setting compulsory retirement precedent

As previously noted [1], the Supreme Court is to hear an appeal in in the case of Seldon v Clarkson, Wright & Jakes (EHRC intervening)  [2] [2010] EWCA Civ 899 on 28th July 2010 (reported at [2011] ICR 60). Assuming the Supreme Court will consider the wider issues involved and not just the specific point being appealed, the ruling will be of great significance.
