a pregnant employee who takes sick leave because of a pregnancy related illness before her maternity leave starts is entitled to the same sick pay as other employees who are off sick but EC law does not entitle her to pay if she takes time off simply by reason of routine pregnancy-related inconveniences or medical recommendation without incapacity for work.
