First Scotrail Ltd v Griffen - Reasonableness of dismissal [2006] EAT

A train conductor was dismissed for misconduct where inappropriate behaviour towards a young female passenger travelling alone was alleged. The tribunal held that the dismissal was unfair in that (i) the employer did not have reasonable grounds for believing he was guilty and (ii) had not carried out a reasonable investigation.
