Mrs Francis was a PNC operator. She suffered varying forms of bullying at work, eventually going absent with anxiety and depression and then resigning. An employment tribunal, critical of how the Cleveland Police had treated her and handled her absence, upheld her claim of constructive unfair dismissal. In the meantime Mrs Francis found a new job with Barclaycard, but resigned after only 3 months due to the stress she was suffering as a result of her time with Cleveland Police.
