Sharma v Ealing Borough Council - Costs [2006] EAT

Mr Sharma. a Principal Housing Officer at Ealing Council, brought claims of racial discrimination and victimization on grounds of race and sex discrimination against the Council and 14 named individuals. His claims were dismissed by the Employment Tribunal. He was ordered to pay the Council's costs (£130,000 subject to any reduction to be ordered on assessment by the County Court) on grounds that his claims had been made or pursued vexatiously, abusively, disruptively or otherwise unreasonably. The EAT rejected his appeal.
