In its judgment, an employment tribunal should set out the principles of law involved in a case, and how it has applied these to the facts that it has found. However, a failure to do so will not necessarily make its decision wrong in law provided that it is clear from the judgment what priniples of law have been applied, and that they have been correctly applied.
