Williams v The Ministry of Defence - withdrawal of service complaint and ET jurisdiction

An Employment Tribunal has no jurisdiction to hear a discrimination complaint from a member of the Armed Forces if that person has withdrawn their Service Complaint on the matter.

Mrs Williams was in the RAF. Before presenting a discrimination claim to the Employment Tribunal she was required to go through the service complaints procedure
