Nicola specialises in employment and related areas of law, both as a stand-alone offering and in the provision of corporate support for sales, acquisitions and TUPE transfers. Advice is predominantly provided to employers, including numerous foreign businesses with UK employment issues.
Nicola’s experience includes: day to day HR advice, for example, in relation to disciplinary and grievance processes; drafting employment contracts, service agreements, consultancy agreements and staff handbooks; advising on redundancy processes; defending Employment Tribunal claims; drafting and advising on restrictive covenants; and transactional advice, including TUPE and corporate support.
Nicola completed her training contract with Fladgate LLP, qualifying as a solicitor in their Employment department in 2006. Nicola joined Kemp Little LLP in 2008, undertaking a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment work, acting predominantly for corporate clients. Nicola left Kemp Little in August 2013 to have a short career break to look after her young family and joined Moorcrofts LLP in October 2014 as a member of the Employment team.
